    Hoover OPH616/2-80
The 3hr, cold wash & Aquaplus LED all flashing, no pause, just flashing.
Cannot select a program, when you switch machine on it starts to fill straightaway
Customer did say that on the last wash it got very hot.
I have got the Hoover Optima fault codes, but as there does not appear to be one that does not help.
    Anybody got any suggestions please
    Thanks

Quite common to do this. Its not a fault as such its just locked up. You generally can sort it by cleaning the programme selector (been discussed on here many a time). As well as going mental twiddling the dial. Sometimes holding the start button & turning the dial, from OFF, back one click does the trick too.
Or you could replace the board. Not too bad a price.

I tried holding the start button & turning the dial, that did not work until as you say mental twiddling the dial whilst holding the start button that unlocked it. I selected spin and it spun but when I tried to cancel it, it locked up again. So I thought I would clean the program selector, only it is soldered to the board and no way to get into it. I have some Amberlube contact cleaning lubrication so I gave it a spray and again mental twiddled the dial this worked.
Thanks for your help and suggestions
