Hoover OPH616 error codes??

Serial No: 3100285410250346.

Called this morning, machine possibly under 12 months old but purchased by this ‘hairdressing salon’ from a deceased gentleman’s estate.

Machine was full of water and the Door lock light plus the first light on each row, No Spin & 3Hr were flashing steadily, no pause, just flashing.

I got no response from the controls so had to drain manually. The pump & filter were fine, all other components appeared to be OK both physically and electrically. The only fault I found was a displaced earth lead from the motor casing.

Tried it again and everything seemed to work OK. ❓

Anyone know what if anything those flashing lights signify?

The error code is shown only by the First Option Button LED (the top one nearest the rotary selector dial). For error codes refer to the UKW FC Guide (Page 80 – Hoover Optima Series)

Well it wasn’t flashing a single light… :con:

I will just phone her and tell her to give it another try, I did notice that it was well soaped up when I tried it again, possibly all that gunk from the shop towels. 🙁

Just been back to this one, says it has worked intermittantly but is still playing up.

Thinks it sometimes overheats but not sure and no signs of it on machine.

Still occasionally sticking with the first light in both rows, no spin and wash/3hr lights flashing. Also says that there is no pause but I am not so sure she is looking carefully enough.

The error codes HERE do not give any indication of how to extract these codes.

Can any kind soul supply me with the diagnostics for this machine please.

Just count the number of flashes from the LED shown below.
