I have a problem with the above model washing machine whereby when I put it on a 60 degree wash it only heats the water to about 30 degrees and when you put it on a 90 degree wash it overheats!

Can anyone advise me what the problem might be and what part I need to replace.

    Many thanks…

Its the NTC “water temperature sensor” this is located in the element itself, and is a push in fit..with a plug type connector around £10 to purchase at most…..check connections on the element itself are nice and tight, and show no sighns of over heating…if they do then change complete assembly which will come with the NTC sensor fitted ready..

    Hi Martin

    Many thanks for the reply,
Can you clarify which sensor this is as having looked at photo of the element I cant see any sensor “in” the element fitting itself?
Do you mean this one that sits above the element?

when you put it on a 90 degree wash it overheats!

Blimey what temperature does it get to then. It must be bubbling away if its hotter than that. (Which if it did would cause the heater to go open circuit).
