hi all this ones dead with blown tracks on timer module, looks about 4 or 5 tracks blown, it could be soldered up but looking at it presuming a short and maybe components on board might have been taken out? unsure?

anyone replaced a module on one of these late hoover’s?

The trick is to try and trace where the source that blew the module is? Often the blown track leads to an edge connector plug and the wires to that plug lead to the cause of the blow-out! Usually the drain pump or motor as a rule. 😉

Whatever you do, don’t just replace that module without checking what caused it OK? 8)

If that’s one of the modules that sits at the top on the right hand side from front you’d have very little hope of fixing it. Probably even EMW would send it back as unrepairable. Worth ringing Gias for direct price, sometimes considerably cheaper than trade wholesalers! But, as Martin says, fix the cause first.
