ParticipantHello again my friends I am glad to say it’s been ages since I have had the need to ask for your help, so here goes.
My son has hOOVER OPTIMA D840 Dishwasher, he tells me that after the wash cycle has completed the tablet is still in the container.
Any help would be appreciated.
many thanksFebruary 15, 2009 at 5:49 pm #277404Penguin45

Solenoid on the dispenser is the usual culprit, replacement dispenser required. P/no 92746379 – spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk will get you one promptly.
A resistance test through the solenoid coil will confirm. Power off first.

Spot the difference between Penguin45 and a sarcastic b*****d like me. 😉
I would have advised your friend not to put a table in the dishwasher in the first place. 😆

Hi
The other question which hasnt been asked is .. Does the tablet drop down to the bottom of the dishwasher when the door is opened ? or is the flap open or closed when the door is opened ?.
If the tablet drops downor the flap opens when the door is opened then its something stopping the flap from opening fully,Try raising the top basket.

ParticipantI have just almost had a heart attack.
I tried one local company on the off chance, they quoted me £102, How the hell do manufacturers/suppliers justify these stupid prices for spares when a new machine would be around £200.February 17, 2009 at 5:14 pm #277415iadom

ParticipantI have found a solinoid for this machine at Curry’s spares £8.00, I have also discovered that the whole dispenser assembly is called a electrodipenser.
I suppose the fancy name tries to justify the rip off price, I reckon my son is going to ahve to look for a new machine.I tried to look at the one on this web page ISE but nothing comes up,, any ideas please. -
