Hi,
I have a Haier motor HCD63/52a3 fitted to a Hoover HWB 814D-80S.
Where did you end up getting the brushes from?
Thanks, John.February 18, 2014 at 9:04 am #407233Martin

Where did you end up getting the brushes from? The official Hoover part number for a MOTOR BRUSH UNIT (sold singular/not a pair) is 49028928. They describe is as fitting a “Haier/Ceset type motor” but stress the brushes for a Ceset motor ARE different. Search the Internet and even Hoover’s own spare parts site and you won’t find them listed. However if you search for Haier carbon brushes a whole plethora of choices await including THESE from Amazon.
Best of luck!

Did brushes in a Chinky Hoover with Haier motor yesterday. holders where not CESET type, more like Indesco.
I was able to remove the brush and metal holders from Hotpoint/Indesit C00035521 brushes and fit them into the original plastic holders.

No the CAR69’s have the bog standard CESET plastic holders with the two big lugs either side.

I have ordered a pair from Ranson Spares, but had to call them as seems impossible to find online with anyone’s site!
They seemed sure they are the right ones for the Haier motor, but let’s see when they arrive.
Their part number was: RS123038
Will let you know if they fit.
Have got it running in the meantime by cleaning the commutator & and freeing up the brushes in the holders, about 5mm of carbon left !

That sarcastic comment does not warrant a response. :rolls:
I was offering good advice which I’m sure would be backed up by all of my fellow trade members.

I would just like to understand your view that it wreck the motor.
You must have some reasoning for a statement like that?If you have some constructive comments as to why it would do damage, then I think all would like to hear them.
