Hi,
I just got a call from a customer saying that four months ago I replaced the drain pump and now it’s not working as it was throwing up an error code E04. (Me thinks it’s a blockage as it’s rare for new pump to fail in my experience)
Normally I wouldn’t mind, but I find the newer Hoover/Candy washing machines are my nemesis for number of reasons, badly designed, poorly built, tricky timers, dodgy interlocks, etc.
Hopefully I would arm myself with knowledge on how to reset the appliance as last time I did a test wash which I thought went well until I couldn’t terminate the cycle so in the end I left the machine to complete the cycle on its own after 2 hours much to my customer’s bemusement. I looked at the manual which says do this and do that by turning the dial to certain point then return to “off” position which never worked for me despite doing it several times.
Has anyone got any hints and tips? Judging by similar posts on Hoover that the fault code is not always what it seems, what else should I look for?
