When I have done a full cycle of Washing and drying the clothes are not dried and still wet. The machine seems to fill with water after about an hour of non use even when turned off.

Both my husband and I are pensioners and before I call anyone out I was wondering if we could fix it ourselves.

My husband believes it is the water inlet valve. The reason being we have had new water mains replaced (like most parts of London) and we have had to replace all our taps and my husband thinks that the new higher pressure has worn the inlet valve.

I would be grateful if anyone has any advice.

    Many thanks

if its clean water it sounds like a valve, plug out if checking.

Thanks for replying. It is clean water. I can use the machine to wash with no problem, it is the drying cycle. Will I need to purchase anything to fix it? Thanks

it will probably need a new water valve.
