Hoover se220 washing machine won’t turn.

HI, wondering if anyone can help
I have a Hoover se 220 washing machine, it recently started having problems when spinning, the brushes got changed and it worked well for a few goes, then it started not turning the drum during random bits of the cycle, now it nevers turns at all, the pump works, the belt seems fine, the filter is clear as far as i can tell, no idea what else to look for and getting frustrated with it.
Any ideas gratefully recieved….

Were the old brushes worn or not? Did you use a comm stick to bed in the new brushes and clean the commutator?

Burnt-out relay solder joint on pcb will give exactly those symptoms.

Thanks a lot for the help penguin, checked the pcb and there was a slightly dodgy joint on the relay, just where you said…. a few bits of solder later the washing machine appears to be working perfectly….hoping it lasts 😀

(comm was cleaned before putting on brushes but thanks for the tip there too)
