Hoover TC650 Condenser Dryer not starting?

Fault: when start is pressed (and held in) the drum will turn, but releasing the start button and everything stops.

I have had the top off and noticed the start button is connected to a small PCB with a relay on it. Could this be where the fault is?

It’s almost certainly the relay/pcb on these, quite a common fault, you can get one here:

Thankyou for that. I will get one ordered, but is it possible to replace this PCB without having to take off the front plastic control facia. I ask this because it looks very involved to remove this.

Not just the facia, but the whole front……… Some genius put the screws in from the front :rolls: .

Well that’s crazy! So are you telling me I have to remove the cabinet front, complete with door and then somehow remove the plastic control panel, just to access the PCB located close to the top of the machine?

Yes.

Be very careful – some of the wires to the programme timer are a little on the short side and we won’t be able to help you with diagrams.
