    The bearing on our Hoover TL(V?)630 tumble dryer has failed. If my memory serves me correctly a previous post indicated that the entire drum has to be replaced. Correct? Would it be better to replace the machine with a new dryer which is more robustly manufactured or set to and repair it as I’m unsure of the parts cost.

    As it’s for rented accommodation I don’t want to spend a fortune on a new machine but neither do I want to spend my weekends taking tumble dryers apart. Any recommendations on which way to go would be appreciated.

    Yes, it’s an entire drum kit and it’s about £100 🙁

    Replace it with a Bosch or Miele would be my recommendation to be honest 😉

    Many thanks for the advice. It’s a nr brainer now really – one new tumble dryer coming up!
