    hi can anyone help ive got a hoover td650 condenser drier not heating looks like the resistor on heater assy is open circuit but not sure if is ment to be

    The ‘resistor’ is a thermal fuse and should be short circuit. If it trips the normal complaint is that there is no heat and the clean filter light will be on.

    Only fix is a new heater.

    I have fitted new microtemps a bit of a sod to do but makes a sound job the thermal size is printed on the old one and most suppliers sell them and the crimps you need DO NOT FIT THE WRONG SIZE too high it wont be safe too small it will blow, plus check all the usuall.
