ParticipantHi all
Can anyone help? I have a Hoover tumble drier TC650 001 SER NO 37616323 02242291. The timer is part number 04750236.
The problem is, the old timer is entirely different. The numbers/letters do not correspond, as it is a new model the wiring conversion is not on the current manuals. A 💡 nyone happen to know what the wiring conversion from old to new is
Thanks

Bit of an odd one this Sumphose. The part number you have is the same one I came up with, superseded from 04750229 or 97923288.
I phoned GIAS today about another part query and I enquired about your’s while on to them. They gave me part number 97923270 which is not recognised by Washvac or Electrue.
I guess if you have a GIAS account you can order it from them, if you get stuck let me know and I can get it for you.
Regards.
Dave.

Thanks Dave, i have the part, its the timer terminals that bare no relation between old and new. The new timer has two rowsof terminals, a&b numbered 1-12, the old timer has individual numbers which bear no connection, to the replacement. I was hoping to obtain a conversion chart, no-one seems to be able to supply. You would think this would be supplied in the box. Typical gias.

KeymasterSumphose,
Knowing GIAS as I do, is it not number for number? If there’s no conversion included then normally that’s it.

It appears you have the wrong part though, the part number given to me yesterday by GIAS (97923270) is a different timer than the one you have.

Timer came in today ordered under part No supplied by Dave. As this is the 4th different part number that has been ordered which has superseeded to part number 04750236. Somehow this one was correct, different from all the others, well done dave, can you now explain how the other three timers all stamped on them, part number 04750236, which is also stamped on the original faulty part, and this latest arrival which is correct.I have been drinkless for some time now , but this has sent me over the edge.
😯
Thanks again

Reading the above sent me down memory lane from my Candy Gias days. Oh nothing has changed. Yet in the Hoover days, the support was A1.
Fridge doors used to be the best one, halfway through production they reversed the fridge from under the freezer to above on most of their popular machines, yet kept the same model numbers.
Timer changes were another favorite, I’m glad I’m away from them now.

KeymasterLOL Alex, you and I could write a book about it I’m sure! 😆
Hoover, “A1 Support”, I’m assuming that’s one of those “sarcasm and the internet not working well together” moments. 😉

NO!! 😆
I just rang GIAS and that is the part number they gave me, which is different than the other 3 you had. As mentioned, Candy/Hoover are not quite the most consistent with part numbers.
Dave.
Well South of You. 😆
