Hi, Can anyone help me? My Hoover Tumble Dryer has just lit the “Filter Service” Light and no longer seems to be working correctly. The filter just inside the door is clean and I do not know of any other filter on the machine. I was advised that a silver panel be removed from the rear of the machine to access another filter. I have done this but only found the heating element. Please can someone help as I go on holiday in ten days time and need my laundry done for the holiday. Thank in anticipation. 😀

It depends on the model number, if it’s a TV630 or something like it it will be the thermal limiter that will require the heater unit to be replaced.

If you confirm which model it is, we should be able to advise further.

    Dave.

    🙄
Thanks for that response. The model number is indeed T630 001. Judging by your reply I need an engineer out. I know of a good one that my Mum has used in the past. If you can just confirm that I need his services then I can move forward with this and get it fixed. Thanks very much for your help.

Yep, I would suggest you call the guy you know is trustworthy that your Mum has used in the past.

He may already be one of the registered Independant engineers already on the site, if not, perhaps you would be kind enough to mention it to him.

    Dave.

    Fred,

Its likely that the fault is indeed associated with the heater unit, still think you have got the model number wrong (should possibly be TV630001)
However best get someone in to check it 😉
