Hoover TV30 keeps stopping

Hi,

I have a Hoover TV30 tumble dryer with an intermittent fault – sometimes it starts OK and then stops after maybe 10 minutes, but mostly it doesn’t start at all (no power light).
I read an old post about a similar problem and am wondering if it could be a faulty relay. I’ve had the top off and taken a look, but the relay looks different to the one listed in the shop – it’s a larger clear plastic encased relay and not on a board.
Is the relay likely to be the problem, and if so is the one in the shop compatible? Any help will be much appreciated!!

No, it’s not the same one.

Earlier versions did have the plastic relay. Part number 28318016 at £16.64 ex VAT and carriage.

It’s a classic relay fault Brian. The vibration gets them in the end…..
