My TV630 started making loud noises so I took it apart and found a screw jammed in the fan.

However during dismantling I managed to disconnect a wire from the interlock relay board.

Where does the connector with the Orange and Blue wires go? I would have assumed that it went to the terminal marked N but as the wiring on the supressor has the blue wires connected to the L connector and the Brown wires to the N connector I dont trust the labelling on the relay board.

    Thanks

i have a hoover td at my workshop i dont know if its a 630 but will look in the morning for you
but the screw where has it come from i seem to find a lot of screws caught in the fan and they tend to be the screws that hold the fan housing to the motor it seems to be a pretty commen thing with these machines

It had an engineer out to it about 18 months ago for the same fault and he said it was a loose screw. I suspect that nothing is now holding the fan casing to the motor.

The quality of build is pretty lousy to be honest!.

The plug is the one that has the blue wire from the door switch and the orange from the “on” switch.

The two plugs on the bottom of the board are in place, then there is a plug with two white wires halfway up the side. Next to that is a empty spade marked “N”. At the top of the board are two empty spades.

    Dave.

Dont worry I did, but its sensible to remind people.

    Updating this.

I did some checks with the meter and worked out that the loose plug went on one of the two top spages.

Still nothing though – it has blown a fuse. I replaced the fuse and it blows the minute you press the ON button.

Checking the resistance shows a mere 15 Ohms which is more than 13 Amps.

So not sure whats gone bang where but its on its way to the skip and I’m not buying any hoover product again.

So I need suggestions for a replacement !
