How do you unplug the element on the hoover vhc618b-80  ?

the element has a plastic clip that locks into a hole just to the left of where the wires enter the machine. To change the element there is one of 2 ways

1 unclip the lock and push it in. pull wires gently through the hole and swop leads one at a time. to get the clip back use some 5A fuse wire. thread it through the hole the clip came out of and pull it through where the wires go in. Lock the wire to the end of the clip on the new element. carefully push the wires inside and with a bit of gentle care you can tease the end of the clip through the hole and use pliers to pull it all the way through till it locks

2 strip the complete front of the dryer off until you can get one hand to the back of the machine to get the clip back

as you can see way one if it works is a lot less work
