    Hello
Please can someone help me diagnose a fault on my dryer. When I put it on the other day I accidently pressed the delay start button, it did nothing when I tried to switch it off so stupidly I pressed it quickly a few times. Then I noticed smoke from the back around the element, then the electric tripped. I checked the fuse the next day and plugged it in again, there was a buzzing noise then a bit more smoke then it went dead. Does any body know what the problem might be and what parts i’d need to fix it?
    Thanks a lot

Buzzing noise is the motor. Most likely the motor capacitor failed and the start windings within the motor cooked. Big costly fix my friend, scrap it and buy a decent Zanussi or some such is my advice.
