    Hoover VHC681B-80 condenser drier. 3110039612010187.

Runs for about ten minutes and the back panel and drum are scorching hot. Heater safety stat not O/C…so I am thinking that bit’s got to be the thermistor in the filter housing…or PCB.

    Any thoughts?

    Cheers,

    Steve.

TBH if it were overheating then the thermal fuse on the heater unit would be the first to blow. I reckon it’s got to be an air circulation problem so taking a look at both fans would be my next move. Sodding awful machine to work on though. 🙁

Filter fans and condenser squeaky clean……so the only things limiting the temperature would be the heater stats and the thermistor or PCB surely. There isn’t much else in this excuse for a drier. Unless you can think of anything else, Martin?

    Cheers for the response!!

    Steve.
