    Hello everyone, my hoover 814 is giving me grief! It does not finish the cycle it will go through to the spin get half way through the spin and stop. I will then get the “time saver” and “1200” lights flashing. Is this a fault code if so which one? I replaced the brushes about 18 months ago and the pump about 12 months ago but cant seem to find whats wrong this time – dont want it to beat me! Any help appreciated – Mark.

    Further to my posting last night i have refitted the motor the machine now gets stuck in the first part of the program. The 1200 and time saver lights flash 8 times before a pause then 8 times etc does this refer to fault code 8 – tacho/motor?

    8 flashes is a motor related fault, check motor and wiring.
    correct model and product code will help further.

    Bob, have took motor back off, visually all is well, no play in spindle, brushes are good, no visible wiring damage to motor or loom. Lots of numbers on motor its an ACC type 20584.528 or could be 41015501. Thanks for your help any more advice welcome as wife threatening divorce!
