The mains power tripped (don’t know whether connected to washing machine fault). It was on last 15 mins of cycle and I think finished. I emptied machine, put in a new load, chose the programme, pressed Start/Pause but door security light keeps flashing continuously. If I press it to Pause, all the other options lights keep flashing continously. The automatic door locking mechanism is working i.e. wait 2 mins to open etc. We thought might be the door interlock and took it out thinking to replace it though the new one it looks nothing like the illustration. It looks to be in perfect condition so we are thinking it may be something else? Hope you can help – thanks

Very likely a faulty motor tripped the electrics, possibly whilst it was spinning? It won’t start now because the self-checking electronics within sense there is a problem. So time to unplug it from the power and start by checking that motor I reckon. 😀

Thanks Martin – motor out – brushes are unevenly worn and tired spring. We’ll start with replacing the brushes and see how we get on.
