    I am trying to resolve an issue with a Hoover VDH814 washer where the 1200 and Time Saver lights flash. The flash sequence appears as soon as you select a program and before you press the start button.

    The flash sequence is 5 flashes followed by a gap and repeated over and over.

    It’s probably worth mentioning that the machine had a fault recently where the door security light would not go out and so the door locking unit was changed. The door lock now seems to work correctly however this new fault is the result.

    Any advice would be much appreciated.

    NTC Temperature Reading Probe opened or shorted and/or Wiring.


    check for broken wiring first!

    Thanks for the information.

    Not sure what “NTC” is but I guess that given it was about -3 when I tested it might have something to do with it.

    I guess I will wait until the temperature rises and try it again.
