Just had a look at one of these.
When you turn the dial to select a programme the display screen flickers on and off and it also flicks up all different programmes and if you press the start button while this is happening it will pick whatever one is flashing up at the time like a roulette wheel!!
If you fiddle with the selector wheel you can get it to settle long enough for the proper programme to be selected, but its pot luck!
It then seems to go thru the wash ok.
I’ve not looked too deep into it as it may be covered under the warranty, but the selector dial is not damaged nor the switch behind it and the screen and board have no obvious damage.
    Anyone seen this.

Not another Hoover selector switch? :rolls: If it’s a separate switch, not integral with the board, change it. They’re carp but they’re cheap!

Cheers for that mike, I saw how cheap they were so i ordered one anyway to try it.
it sounds like they cause a few problems so hopefully it’ll do it.

The LED’s flashing doesn’t represent an error code on this model Simon. Error codes are E00 – E18 shown in the display window.

If you would like a copy of the test procedure and E codes do drop me an email. 😀
