Hoover VHV Sensor VHW 654D error code 11

Hi I have tried searching on the website but unable to locate anything. So if some one can help it would be appreciated.

Daughter has the above hotpoint machine – has just returned from hols and trying to do her washing but machine gives error code 11 which I cannot locate anywhere.

Before calling service eng would like to at least see if it is something relatively straight forward. I am comfortable working on technical things and have fixed our own machine at various times. But do defer to the engineers before I blow something up.

There’s a fault associated to the dryer heater and/or its thermistor (aka NTC), the dryer wiring or the dryer timer. Plenty for you to get on with I suspect. 😀

Oops!! Had a senior moment.
The washing machine is actually a Hoover not Hotpoint.
Does that make a difference to the error code diagnosis.
The rest of the information is correct.

I knew it was a Hoover from the model number. I have a “senior moment filter” fitted to my laptop! 😉

Hi Don/Martin just to let you know problem fixed – it was the connection to the thermistor – wire had broken at the crimp on the spade terminal. New spade connector, wire sleeved with some IR sleeving crimped and soldered. probably better than new.
