Guys,
Went to see a Hoover VHV180-80 tumble drier yesterday where the machine would not turn off after the machine was started, unless turned off at the mains (Open the door and the drum continues to turn).
I think I’ve narrowed it down to the door lock assembly (part 40004092) but would hope someone has a service manual they could send to me. I’d like to confirm my suspicions and also work out how I get to it

Remove lid, control panel, condenser access panel then front panel….simples! 😀

Machine continues to work even with the door open = door switch device stuck in ‘on’ position or door microswitch fuffed. Either way, yes your diagnosis is spot on there for sure. 8)
