Hi, new to the boards & in need of some help. We have a Hoover VHV680C Vented tumble dryer & it isn’t heating. We have replaced the thermal limited & have checked the other thermostats with a multimeter & they seem ok. It would appear there is no power getting to the element at all (I did a risky thing by bypassing the thermostat & it still didn’t heat up) Everything else works as it should, drum turns fine. What else could it be? Is it possible for half of a control board to go down?

I will point out that I bought this secondhand & on inspection found that the original terminal block for the heating element have been removed & replaced with screw terminal blocks.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I expect that was the hint.

Possibly the heater relay on the board, probably not worth repairing so ended up on Ebay or Gumtree as such things often do.

Is there a way to test the board for a faulty relay?
