Hoover vision 1600 stuck on ‘continuing program.’

Is it likely that the software is corrupted in a Hoover vision 1600 that’s stuck on ‘continuing program.’ ? It wont reset. it apparantly suffered a power failure, now when you switch it on it goes into the welcome screen and then just displays ‘continuing program.’

Also lit up is the light for heavy load and the timer save button and the doorlocked indicator is on but the door will open and close.

Press and hold the “Start/Pause” button for 5 seconds should re-set?

If not give me the 8 digit Product Number (Starting 3???????) and I will look up the manual.
