Hoover Vision HD Sensor Dry VHV 781c – Error code E15

Hello ❓
I have had this appliance for about 1 year and a half, 6 months of that the machine has been in storage as I moved house and then had nowhere to live.

The machine was working fine prior to moving, bust I have got it back this week and it is now reading e15, sometimes it will work for 10 minutes then the code appears….

Do you know what this code means?
What would you recommend?
Does it have a reset button?

FYI – the Hoover website does not even recognize the model no!

I think it’s a control board error but I’m not entirely sure as on most fault code E15 seems to be a communications error or control PCB error.

Fault codes most often do not pinpoint the fault or the faulty component, in fact they most often don’t. Even service engineers, mechanics etc. sometimes forget this.

What they do is point you in the general direction of where the problem lies.

They are an aid to diagnostics, not a replacement for the diagnostic skills of the person looking at the fault.

So giving us a fault code where there’s a common reason for it being displayed, then sure we can tell you what will in most cases will be the problem. Where it’s not so common, like this one, things get a lot trickier. 😉
