I’ve been trying to identify a problem. I own a Hoover Vision HD condenser dryer about 4 years old.
It’s saying that the water tray is full after 5 to 10 minutes and then the dryer stops working.
So far Ive cleaned out the metal filter, emptied any water in the water tray at the bottom and Ive also cleaned out as much fluff etc as possible with my hands.
I rang a repair man who said maybe the “float” in the water tray was sticking, so to test this Ive removed the drip tray and detached the connecter that sits on the dryer (the one that the drip tray locks on to) so all you could see was the exit hole underneath.
Its still failing after about 10 minutes.
One other avenue Ive looked at is the heater element.
Ive noticed no heat whatsoever inside the drum. Ive even removed the back metal cover plate and looked at the heater element once it had run for a few minutes – again no heat.
Any ideas? Could a faulty heater element cause such a fault?
Ive looked to see how many times the lights flash once it stops and they flash continuously with no pauses. Someone else’s post in here with a similar dryer seemed to indicate this, but I’d love to know before I buy a new one.
Thanks for any help you may be able to offer.
