    My tumble dryer was leaking and so I have bought a new part from a reputable supplier. Since then the dryer tells me that the water tank is full and so will not start. I have been told that a new control panel will be fitted for around £140. Is it worth the repair (it is around 2 years old) or is there anything else that I can check before I go ahead. The door filter is cleaned out everytime it is used and the lower filter is cleaned out with water.

    What is the MODEL number and PRODUCT number of this beast?

    £140 – 2 yrs old, don’t throw good money after bad!

    Its a Hoover NO VHC381/1-80 .

    What “new part” did you replace? Was it the Water Valve or the Pressure Switch?
