    Hi,

    My tumble dryer starts to work ok, then stops with all the lights
    Flashing on it. I have cleaned the filter etc and from searching online I have put it into self test mode and although there is no digital display, once in self test mode the lights flash 8 times.

    Can you tell me what this means please?

    Could be the thermal fuse at fault. Usually means a new heater assembly on these Candy dryers.

    Ok, I thought the flashes might indicate a specific problem

    They do, they indicate a thermal fuse failure.

    3 main faults on these dryers either the heater is faulty , the pcb , or front ntc, like iadom has said if the fault is definitely eo8 this is a heater fault
