would like a second opinion in case there’s something i’ve missed. This washer is just out of warranty.Meg tested the heater and motor. The heater is low but the machine still trips with the heater disconnected! The motor megs fine and i’ve tested it independently.Nothing visual on pcb.
    thanks

I don’t Megger the whole machine Martin,In case the 500v damages the electronics.
It turned out to be the molded plug!although no external visable signs. The baffling thing was,it wouldn’t trip until 5mins into the cycle, then it would trip as soon as the switch was turned on.The walls where the appliance is have no top coat plaster and is damp under there.Moisture must have penetrated the plug. There is corrosion on the pcb already which led me to think this was the problem.
    regards
