Moderatorconnecting the wires together wont help as it looks for shorted or open ntc’s
hoover only sell complete harness but you may find similar connectors somewhere else. these connectors are called insulation displacement connectors as the insulation is broken as the wire is pushed into a metal fork. you can use a small screwdriver to try to ease the wire back in

37,8 ohms normal for these states ?58 quid for a wiring harness and probably take about 3 hrs to fit all the other connectors .. rediculous:mad:

ParticipantDoes anyone know what the ohms reading should be on this dryer heater state limiter ?

Moderatorthe overheat stats are just switches so zero ohms when closed meg ohms when open

Moderatorif you are telling me the NTC on the front of the duct is reading 11 ohms when not in circuit i would say thats too low by miles

Moderatori would say that far too low
41032956 should be the part nonever seen such a rangs of prices for the same part
Qualtex £5.58
connect £15.53
aswo £16.29although Aswo and Connect have alternative non gen parts
as for the connector, had a look around but no luck yet. see if you can see a make on the old plug

Participanthi yeah ave got a spare connector will have to join it .39,6 ohms i thought that might be normal ?as you said if it was faulty you thought it would be open circuit . i have a zanussi type one it only reads 5.8 ohms mmmm ?
July 11, 2023 at 2:57 pm #487479electrofix
Moderatorhave had them short and open circuit
5.8 ohms is really suspect. most of the times these things go down in resistance when hot and at 5 ohms there is not much room to be accurate
have you got an old heater ntc to link across as a maybe test
