    Good afternoon all,

Wonder if anyone has expeienced an intermittent door opening problem on the above m/c?

The door refuses/is very difficult to open sometimes, and when I called this morning it worked, although the door isn’t a very good fit, and not adjustable.

The door lock is mechanical, together with the vacuum arrangement.

When the push button is pressed, the mechanism is fine, so I’m wondering if it is related to the vacuum set up.

If so, how does one test these?

Could someone shed some light on the above problem?

    Best wishes,

    jontymox

As a rule the cause is either or some of the following (most common reason first) 😉

Push button pivot mechanism behind fascia panel wears and pivot rivets need crimping with a pair of molegrips to operate allowing greater movement on bowden cable.

Pecker on drum pulley needs adjusting.

    Interlock assy needs replacing.

    Air tube gunged up.

    HTH? 😀

    Thanks Martin,

Yes, that information is most helpful.

Will use if problem recurrs, as I didn’t charge for short visit today.

    Best wishes,
