Hoover washer ASM160UK S/N.31000584 Door lock problem

Problem with door lock for this machine, Connect say pt is 09201250, but this is a cable operated release- this machine has just door handle to open.
having problem sourcing original lock for it-
Anyone know of a mod or service update on this .
Any clues???

got lock today,
the old one fits with 2 screws, this one has locking tabs – is it a straight swap or do i need to
drill out fixing holes.
thanks for any advice given.

It should just click into place in the old screw holes. That’s why they changed to the new type in the first place, to save fitting 2 screws in production. At the end of the year they can avoid fitting 3 millions screws and saving of at least €50,000 (more Champagne for the end of year Directors party)

Thanks Martin,
“Hoover” – bleedin’ cost cutting cheapskates.
Have found the Bosch locks (look similar) tabs will snap off – if you’re not careful.
