ParticipantHelp,
I have a Hoover washer dryer that is just over a year old and of course just out of warranty. I noticed that as of the beginning of this week the dryer has stopped drying and having read a number of the articles on this web site I am thinking that it could be a blocked condenser and trip switches. Could some one please give me some advise on how to identify these and where they are located in the machine. I apologise for not having the model number to hand.
Regards

you would be best posting the model number as there are many different variations of hoover washer dryers.
but normally if it has resetable thermostats they will be found under the lid on top of the dryer assembly.
they have small pegs sticking out if you give them a press they will give a pronounced click if they need reset.
there are various reasons why these thermostats will need reset.power off before touching anything

Can any one help with advising me why my Hoover HSWD 126-80 washer dryer has stopped drying I think it may be the thermal cut outs caused by a clogged condenser but don’t know where this is located and how hard it will be to clean out. I understand from reading articles on the web that this is a common problem

I went through 3 Hoover Washer Dryers in a year and had repair men coming out on countless occasions. I decided to get it replaced with a Zanussi and it has served me well. Hoover’s used to be made in Merthyr Tydfil and were a quality product but now they are made in Poland with Chinese Parts and are just a bunch of crap! I would never buy a Hoover product again.
