A customer of mine has purchased this W/D . Does any body know why it goes into a spin on tumble dry? She has had it changed and the replacement does the same . Hoover says some dyer progs will do this . Cant see any logic in this at all. Any thoughts Bendy

    its supposed to

    doesnt anyone read the manual?

its a thermal spin, seperates the clothes to allow better airflow

its well documented, all late model hotpoints do it as well

Then exactly where in the VHW654D User Booklet does it mention ‘”thermal spin?”

They do have a “KG Mode”, “3 levels of sensor drying” they’ve even got “a stain blaster” (whatever one of those is?) but no mention of thermal spin?

I thought the sole purpose of spin was to extract water through centrifugal force. Whereas tumble drying was meant to gently tumble the clothes back and forth relaxing the fibres to a pre-set drying level. Not pulverising them against the holes in the drum like some manic wall of death ride? 😕

Hotpoint have it too? Whatever will the Italians dream up next eh?:rolls:
