Hoover Washer support Spring Coming off??

Hoover – VHD8143

Hi, this is my first post in this forum so please bear with me!!

My washing machine support spring keeps coming off after every wash that involves a spin at the end, therefore obviously making a loud banging where the drum hits the side during the spin!!

I have replaced the springs on both sides of the drum but that has made no difference…

Any ideas please??? 🙁

Shock absorbers (Part No 41017170) may need replacing especially if, when pushing on the tub from above,it bounces. The other potential causing this fault is a loose tacho generator magnet attached to the end of the motor. 😉

Where do i enter the part number????

Can the ‘tacho’ be pushed back on if it loose?? Hopefully thats not a stupid question but i’ve never heard of a tacho.
