    The motor on this turns only in one direction anti clockwise, I can hear the relay on the board clicking on and off to turn clockwise but the motor does not turn that way.
    Is this a motor fault or the PCB board?

    You can normally seen the bad solder point on the PCB. Give it a clean up and a blob of solder. (usually does the trick.)
