My Hoover washer-dryer has suddenly decided that flooding my ktichen is the way it should do business. As the water is filled it continues to a point where water is leaking from the door and the powder tray. I have to then switch to the spin / drain cycle to clear the water. I have checked for kinks in the outlet pipe and checked the front filter for gunk / fluff.

    All suggestions please….

Overfilling on this range of machines is almost always caused by the pressure switch hose chaffing through against the drum. This is a skinny hose which runs from the collecting bell on the back of the drum, round the casing to the pressure switch at the front.

Power off if you are going to investigate this yoursefl. :plug:

    Thanks Penguin.

What is the best way to get into the machine to find this pipe – also where roughly am I looking to find damage and is it just a case of replacing pipe with similar stuff from B&Q?

    Thanks

Lid and rear cover will need to be removed – mind the edges. Follow the hose round and find the hole. If you replace the black rubber type hose with clear plastic it will last rather better.

    Power off of course.
