Hoover wet&dry 300 Pro Blinking 8 and won’t work after being unplugged..?

Hoover wet&dry 300 Pro

Purchase date – 29/04/2021

My washer/dryer machine was unplugged because I had a new kitchen installed at my house, when I plugged it back in it would not work.

It keeps flashing the number 8 which moves across the control panel, the number 8 only, no letters or large “E” for error code.

Can you tell me how to fix this please?

assume you have tried unplugging again, waiting 30 secs or so and plugging back in
