    Good morning,

I posess a Hoover WMH147df 7kg 1400 A+AA Optima wash system washing machine. For the past few months, when trying to select the 29min wash program it would give me the 44min wash program instead and so on (in other words I had to select one program ahead of the one I wanted).

Yesterday we managed to select the 44min program (by selecting the 59min program, if you get my drift!) on starting the digital read out just showed 0 for the spin cycle and 1:39 for the timer and kept filling up with water. I just assumed it needed a new PCB or selector knob, but after stumbling across this great site I realise I should hold my horses and ask the experts.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Fred

if you can manage to get the knob off, spray some electrical switch cleaner into the selector switch behind, refit the knob, and spin the knob 2/3 times.. prob solved

    Thank you very much.

Been to Halfords today for a £3.99 can of electrical contact cleaner. Certainly beat spending £107 on a new PCB.

    Machine is fully serviceable again.

    Regards

    Fred
