ParticipantHi, I have a Hoover WMH147 that throws E03, the drum fills but refuses to empty and times out.
I’ve replaced the pump, checked drum-pump hose, checked pump outlet hose. I’ve tried disconnecting the heater element.
What do people suggest I try next? (For information if I manually empty the drum then the error disappears which makes me think the pressure switch works.)
Small bit of additional information, pump meters out at about 160 Ohms (which I think is about right.)
It just seams no matter what the pump won’t run.

ParticipantI’ve carried on fiddling around with this but still no luck, no matter what the drain pump refuses to run

ParticipantAnyone got any suggestions please, all I can think of now is replacing the control board but don’t want to just throw money at it.

ModeratorAn insulation fault on the heating element is a known cause of spurious F03 errors on these.

Dave,
No the pump looked okay and meters out okay, new pump displays exactly same symptoms of just never trying to run.

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately when I disconnect the power and earth wires from the element it made no difference.

ModeratorExamine the small connector plug to the pump, I have seen the slightest sign of arcing due to water ingress damage this plug but you really need to look very closely to see it. Sadly if that is the case then module damage has often occurred. A quick visual on the component side of the module usually shows signs of component damage. The water inlet hose from the soap dispenser often leaks as the adhesive sealant deteriorates.

Thanks for the advice, I’ll give the connector and control board a more detailed inspection and see what I can find.
