hoover wmh148df continous turning on and off

I have a hoover wmh148df that is continously turning on and off as soon has been turned on.

I have prevously had simalar isues with a smeg dishwasher thet was sorted with a few capacitors on the pcb.

Will this be a similar fault and can anyone point out witch components need replacing. if not dose anyone have any experience with this fault as customer not wanting to stretch to a replacement pcb.

Any help would be appreciated, don’t like writing machines off unless i have to.

It’s a bit “how long is a piece of string?” this one TBH. If it goes through the cycle like this then I would think interlock probs? But if the programme continually needs resetting to start a connection issue to or within the coreboard? Dunno, go take a closer look and let us know what it was. 😀

I don’t know the board but going from the images on connect I would guess that you would want to look at changing the 400V electrolytic capacitor and 8 Pin IC next to it.

Sorry looking back my description of the fault was a bit vague.

As soon as the machine is turned on the pcb power up then down again every 5 ish seconds.

No programs have been started.
