    Hi

Well that’s the problem in a nutshell – sometimes it will spin, and sometimes it won’t. We had a repair guy out yesterday who said it’s the bearings which makes it uneconomical to repair – reading up on the net, this sounds unlikely.

Can anyone offer any suggestions as to why it intermittantly wont spin.

    Thanks

Is the filter clean? It is hidden behind the front kick panel. Remove this and undo the small screw until the filter will turn anticlockwise. BEWARE – some water will escape – so have a tray and some old towels handy.
Clean the filter unit and refit as a reversal of removal. If the problem persists, or the filter is clean, then it could be a coin stuck in the sump hose. (the coin moves and causes the machine to drain intermittently). Lean the machine back to locate the sump hose. Remove at the pump end only and shake into a small bowl. Not uncommon to find coins here. Check the pipe on the filter housing (that the sump hose connects to) for any obstructions.
Power off before any investigation. :plug:

    Hope that helps!!

    Steve.
