    Hi
I have a Hoover vision HD (VHD842-80) it is only 16 months old and a it has developed a fault — during the cycle the machine will stop just before the rinse and spin section with the indicator lights flashing 3 times on the 1200 spin and the timer saver button (they flash 3 times stop for about 20 seconds and flash 3 times again) can anyone help please.

Does it drain manually or not?

Water level is detected by pressure switch. If it drains manually, check pressure chamber for blockages. If it doesn’t drain manually, check sump and drain hose for blockages.

Thank you I really appreciate your help, yes it does drain but the pump does not seem to stop it just keeps pumping even though the drum is empty. I will check the pipe work and tubes leading to the pressure switch. Can I bypass the pressure switch to check if it is this that has faulted? Thanks again.

Many thanks mate, the pressure switch works fine and I have cleaned everything as new so I was close to ordering a new mother board but I will try a new heater and post the result. Thanks again.

    Re: HooverHD

Great advice from all!! I cannot explain the whys or the how’s but tonight I have disconnected the heating element as per helo_75 and the washer has completed two full washes (must have been a good cover our profits memo from Hoover) I will fit a new element as soon as and post the outcome here for other users. A big thank you to all.
