I am having problems with two hoovers, they stay on for under 5 minutes, get very hot then cut out and won`t work again for ages.

I have been having work done in my home, walls knocked out, total re-wire etc… and obviously i`m using the hoovers to get rid of the dust. I think that the fine dust has got into the motor and that is what is causing my problems, i`m probably wrong 😆 but its the only thing i can think of why both are doing the same thing.

Can anyone advise please what i should do, if anything.
I keep emptying the rubbish out ( both are bagless) each time i have picked up. I `ve checked the filters and they dont seem bad.
I`m stuck now so some advice will be much appreciated.
    Thanks

If you are sure the filters don’t need cleaning and there are no blockages then the motor is at fault.BTW brick/plaster dust is just too fine for most domestic vacuum cleaners.
