This machine has blown two 185c. toc’s. On my second visit I also changed the 115c. cycling stat. I tested the dryer for 30 mins and the 115c stat was cutting in and out. Customer dryed 1 load ok but it failed again on the second load. The cool down period is being observed. I’m missing something ?

Yes, the condenser unit needs taking off the back and cleaning out! 😉

Is the machine fitted with an FHP motor if so check the wiring running by the motor plug if they chaff, especialy the orange dryer heater wiring this takes out the one shot, thats caught out many engineers.

    Good point johnny,

Fixed a drain fault on this WD and the customer said “dryer gets too hot”, I thought how can you tell? The loom had shorted againt the case where the cable tie is, it was turning the dryer heaters on all the time. Good old neutral switching, probably not quite enough juice to blow the fuse.
