Hopoint WD71 Not drying

We had a WD71 completely dead we have replaced the module and the washer now works. But have problems with the drier.

If you select a dry programee all what happens is it beeps.

If you select wash/dryer the time save light comes on.

Does any one have any ideas.

As there is no error code being displayed, it may be indicating an error by beeping, I’m not sure if the error codes cover dryer faults TBH.

The classic is an open circuit 85c stat on the dryer unit, or broken leads in the same area.

It could also be a poor connection between the two pcb’s, ie, ribbon cable not pushed home correctly.

I’ve got the washing machine version service manual here if it’s any help.
