There’s no technical info on the model as yet as it’s such a new model, the likelehood is it’s an Indesit rebadged as both brands are owned by Merloni or “The Indesit Company” as they are now known.

Sunday PM, we’ve had this model for almost a month now (£384 inc. del. from tribaluk 😀 (27 days to delivery plus 6 calls totalling 1hr 20min 🙄 )) and it’s been gr8, it actually does what it says in the brochure. Well almost, just two negatives we’ve found so far.
1: The smart setting that lets you pick how dry you want your clothes to be (iron, hanger or cupboard) is not enough, but you can always go manual and add an hour or so to finish off.
2: Tonight I came home to an error message, F-03, I don’t know what this means yet but the machine is locked and in-operable 😯 . I will be contacting Hotpoint in the morning.

These are the new generation of machines which are a combination of Hotpoint and Indesit. They are the basic Hotpoint cabinet, tub, drum, pump with Indesit module, eprom and wiring harness. Warning to anyone working on these some have a DC motor which is controlled from the module. The module has a very large heatsink sticking out of the plastic case and it is LIVE at all times and can stay live for upto 5 minutes after the plug is removed. :zap: There is a warning notice on the module cover but since the module is awkward to get at through the hotpoint lower back panel nobdy sees it until the module has been removed.
As they use the Indesit modules then Indesit fault codes are displayed.March 1, 2005 at 5:34 pm #124230Martin

ParticipantFlyman, don’t you really mean AC? Inverter drive from rectified mains?
Are the motors single phase or three phase, and does anyone know how similar the latest Zanussis with induction drive are?March 1, 2005 at 7:03 pm #124232Martin

Questions, questions, questions?
If only we had the tech info from Indesit eh? …None of us would need to ask the questions in the first place 🙁

3 phase, brushless. Apparently quieter and more reliable. No more hotpoint carbons to change! 😕
Only fitted on the higher range machines.
Sorry have heard nothing about new Zanussi motors.March 1, 2005 at 8:10 pm #124234Penguin45
